July Celebration #3 - Jolyn marries Yew Minh on 19 July 2008!

Jo is married! No, Jo’s not in the picture above. The picture’s taken before dinner…ha ha!
Anyway, Jo's a lovely sister, whose warmth and hospitality made me feel welcome in Sydney and definitely helped me settle down fast. No doubt, she is a good testimony of God’s love and a great encourager.

Dinner reception was held at Grand Copthorne, and cocktails was set for 7pm, dinner at 7.30pm. A typical Chinese wedding dinner, you’ll expect your guests to be late, which was very true! Dinner didn’t start till 8ish. It was a good time of gathering with many of my BS group from Sydney, seeing them, catching up with them. A couple came over from Malaysia and Sydney to attend the dinner, which was a bonus to all! Despite the migraine that came back towards the later part of the night, I dare say dinner was still a good affair. It wasn’t so much the food and wine that attracted me. It was the fellowship.

Jo and Minh is indeed a very sweet and loving couple. Video shots of the day were shown. Pictures were shown. They engaged a band to play and sing; and the band was of average standard, if you ask me. Don’t quite get the vibe that they enjoy music, which is a pity. The loving couple danced their first dance. They had gone for ballroom dancing classes before the wedding, and they waltzed beautifully!

Part of me, during the course of the dinner, was thinking of Daphne and Armand’s wedding which was to happen in May 2009. I can imagine the amount of work they have to put in just to get all the reception ready, and I just pray I can play my part in helping them out with the celebration.

Migraine reached its peak by the time I reached home. Popped 2 Ponstan tablets, and vomited one. Boo!
