Life is short

Life is short, you never know what will happen to you.
There’s a lot that had been happening around me over the last couple of months.

First was my maternal grandmother’s passing. One moment she was at home, the next she was found unconscious on the floor, which eventually led to a stroke and caused her to be bed-ridden. 6 months later, she went home to be with the Lord.

Then there's my boss’ best friend’s mother. Her best friend was planning for her mum’s birthday party, which was scheduled for this Friday. Who would have expect her mum to choke while eating bread, and eventually went home as well. Her funeral is scheduled for Saturday. How ironic.

Next, there’s the chef’s sister, who had an accident and had a fracture in her skull. Thankfully, she’s out of danger, and recovering well.

Just read an interview with Rick Warren, author of The Purpose Driven Life. He said, life on earth is not meant to be smooth. Life here is short, and in preparation of our eternal life up in heaven.
